Celebrating the game’s half-year anniversary, the SHIFT UP Corporation hosted a dedicated livestream earlier today, sharing news about and teasing what is to come in the near future for players. A New Collaboration with NieR: Automata
Not the most discreet of teasers, but one of the big announcements of this livestream was that a collaboration with Yoko Taro’s NieR Automata is in the works. No further information has been confirmed as of writing, but at the very least, I would expect to see 2B and A2 become recruitable players either through a special story mode event or the gacha recruitment system.
New Playable Character: Dorothy
An AR weapon Pilgrim-class character, Dorothy will be joining the game as a playable character in the very near future. She may share the name with a dinosaur that Australian Millennials grew up watching and that of a girl who followed a certain road, but don’t expect such a sweet experience from her. Dorothy is the Squad Captain and the most powerful Nikke in the Inherit Squad. She may appear innocent on the surface, but she has an insatiable heart.
Half-Year Event Awards
From 27 April until 18 May, players will be able to receive a number of goodies, including multiple advanced recruitment vouchers to potentially add Dorothy to your ranks, 10x Standard Recruit Banners and an SSR character known as Rei, who players will be able to fully limit break once completing all overzone events. These will be accessible either via logging in, or completing certain events.
