Formerly known as Pottermore, now as Wizarding World, everyone has been able to undertake official surveys to determine what Hogwarts House they would belong in, what wand would choose them and if they were to cast a Patronus, what creature the spell would take the form of. In my case, I received Ravenclaw, an elder wood with a unicorn core 10 ¾” and unyielding flexibility, and a White Swan. While these have just been fun little surveys that can be done in a matter of minutes each, at least for the former two, it will be possible to carry them across over to Hogwarts Legacy when it releases on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on 10 February 2023.
In a new post on the official Wizarding World website, it has been confirmed you can now link your Wizarding World account with WB Games account. This will allow you to carry across your Hogwarts House and wand, without needing to repeat them in-game, although this may mean you end up missing on witnessing some of the pivotal experiences every Hogwarts student goes through.
You can read the official guide on how the linking process works HERE, or by scrolling down.
My Hogwarts house is sacred! How do I link accounts right now?
Never fear. Here’s a handy step-by-step.
- Pop over to this link to begin the process and login to your account with us. If you need to create a profile from scratch, of course you can do that too, right here.
- Once you’ve completed the Wand Ceremony and Sorting Ceremony you will be asked to click the copy button, which will send you an 8-digit code.
- Now go to the WB Games website and either create an account or login to your existing one.
- You may be prompted to connect to us straight away – in which case, paste your 8-digit code in. And just like that, your accounts should be linked, no Binding Spells required!
And then what happens when I get the game?
When you finally get Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll get an account link prompt once you load up the game for the first time. Visit the website offered up to you, or scan the QR code served up with your phone to launch the WB Games account from a mobile browser instead. From there, you’ll get another 6-digit code to submit. And there will be a nice exclusive wallpaper to download once you’ve linked everything up.

Another reason that you will want to do this is to acquire a few bonus in-game goodies. Everyone who signs in and links their WB Games account will be provided with a Beaked Skull Mask to wear in-game, while those linking their Wizarding World accounts will unlock a House Fan-atic School Robe based on their chosen house – which looks pretty sweet based on what we see in trailers.
