On 5 January 2022, MiHoYo will roll out their 2.4 Update for Genshin Impact, subtitled Fleeting Colors in Flight. If you don’t want to wait for the game to update on launch day, you can pre-install it via the game’s launcher client.
Should you do this, the moment v2.4 servers go live, you can immediately access the game, its servers, and all the new content.
The Fleeting Colors in Flight update for Genshin Impact includes several new features, including the second annual Lantern Rite Festival, the new ‘Enkanomiya’ map area, newly playable characters Shenhe and Yunjin, and more.
Haven’t played Genshin Impact yet? You can now download the game for free on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android and iOS gaming platforms. Keep in mind that while you get a lot of content in Genshin Impact’s open-world for free, the game is supported by a gacha system that requires grinding or real money spent to unlock characters and high-level weapons outside of events.
