Continuing to provide post-development support for Microsoft Flight Simulator, developer Asobo Studio has confirmed their free release of World Update VI for the game on Xbox Series X and Windows PC. This major update focuses on the regions of Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
So what can you expect out of this world update? It introduces new aerial imagery, high-resolution elevation maps and several new 3D cities in Germany, Basel in Switzerland and both Graz and Vienna in Austria. According to Asobo Studio, the update “enhances the visuals of these three countries and the beautiful mountain-ranges of the Alps”.
Providing even more handcrafted pieces to the world, the development team have hand-crafted more than 100 points of interest, and multiple airports including Lübeck, Stuttgart, Klagenfurt and St. Gallen. The update also includes new discovery flights, landing challenges and bush trips that take simmers across the regions.
To access this update, you need to ensure Microsoft Flight Simulator is completely up-to-date, and then visit the Marketplace to download the set. While you are at it, you can download the other free World Updates individually including I: Japan, II: USA, III: UK & Ireland, IV: France/Benelux and V: Nordic Europe.
