R-Type Final 2 Published on Consoles and PC

Publisher Nippon Ichi Software America has today formally released the side-scrolling shoot-em-up R-Type Final 2 on the digital distribution platforms for each the PlayStation 4 (PlayStation Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (Xbox Marketplace), Nintendo Switch (Nintendo eShop), and PC (Windows 10 Store, Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Studios).

Developed by Granzella, this is a follow-up instalment to ‘R-Type Final’, which was released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 back in 2003-2004 where it received pretty good sentiment from video game journalists at the time. They hope that this game will appear to both veterans and newcomers to the franchise and genre alike with its adaptive performance-based difficulty system and customisable ships and pilots. Features of the R-Type franchise including the “Force” mechanic are also set to make a return.
