Little Nightmares II Brings A (Little) Nightmarish Adventure From Tomorrow

The first significant intellectual property from the Swedish development studio Tarsier Studios, the 2017 puzzle-platformer horror game Little Nightmares received attention for all the right reasons. With a suitably foreboding atmosphere, solid gameplay and a good storyline, it was a franchise deserving of a sequel. Titled Little Nightmares 2 and announced last year, the game has received no nightmarish delays. It is due to release tomorrow (11 February 2021) on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia – with the usual backwards compatibility on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. A fully native version of new-generation consoles is expected later this year, with a free upgrade path planned.

Coinciding with this impending release, Tarsier Studios has confirmed that as of end-2020, more than 3 million units have been sold worldwide. According to the studio, the first episode “continues to perform well more than three years after its initial release”.

Little Nightmares II will see you take control of a young boy named Mono, who is trapped in a distorted world. Accompanied by Six, the protagonist of the first game, they will work together in solving puzzles, discover the world’s grimmest secrets and escape the not-so-friendly denizens of it.

Those interested can download a demo version of Little Nightmares II on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One’s respective digital distribution platforms. The demo can also be downloaded on the PC via Steam and Gog.com.
