Azur Lane: Crosswave Launches on Nintendo Switch

Approximately a year after it first released on the Windows PC and PlayStation 4, Idea Factory International have published Compile Heart’s 3D Action Shooter Azur Lane: Crosswave onto the Nintendo Switch. The game is now available physically and digitally in both North America and Europe, with the Australian physical release to follow on 16 March 2021.

Already own Azur Lane: Crosswave on another platform and trying to weigh up whether or not it is worth purchasing the Nintendo Switch port? This version features only a small amount of extra content on the cartridge, including two formerly DLC characters (Taihou and Formidable) available as playable characters and an enhanced Photo Mode which supports six characters rather than the previous three.

Developed by Compile Heart and Felistella and based on the mobile game from Manjuu, Yongshi and Yostar; Azur Lane: Crosswave features a unique narrative which sees dozen’s of the franchise’s iconic characters make the jump from 2D to 3D. Players will control a fleet of cute, but devastating anthropomorphic combat ships and bring enemies to their knees. Your decisions on the battlefield determine whether your fleet sails to victory, or sinks into the ocean.

Those who purchase the game for 3 weeks to 1 month after its launch will be eligible to acquire the Neptune (Swimsuit) character free of charge. The Neptune (Swimsuit) DLC will not be available for purchase in North America or Europe after 1 month and 3 weeks, respectively.

North America: 16 February 2021 – 16 March 2021
Europe: 19 February 2021 – 12 March 2021
