Nintendo Announce a Super Mario Bros. Battle Royale

35 Mario’s enter World 1-1…
Only one Emerges Victorious!

Following the success of their free Nintendo Switch app Tetris 99, Nintendo has clearly decided the next step in their family-friendly battle royale genre of games lies with the Super Mario franchise. During their recent 35th Anniversary Livestream for the franchise, Super Mario Bros. 35 was unveiled.

In this competitive online battle game, 35 players will be placed on a classic-style Super Mario Bros. level and compete to be the last standing. But this isn’t just survival of the quickest though, as enemies defeated will be sent to other players’ courses, and vice versa other way around.

Super Mario Bros. 35 will be a free-to-download game exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members from 1 October 2020. Unfortunately, Nintendo has decided that this service will only be playable until 31 March 2021. Here’s hoping that this decision is reversed.
