EB Games Discontinue Pre-Orders of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S 2020 Stock

With the demand of Australian consumers outweighing current supply, EB Games Australia today discontinued pre-orders for Microsoft’s Next Generation consoles the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. This decision follows launch copies selling out within 15 minutes yesterday, with post-launch “Estimated 2020” stock being made available for pre-order that afternoon. As of now, both product pages have had a “PRESOLD OUT” notice placed on them.

Neither EB Games nor Microsoft has provided a statement at this time around the availability of gamers to pre-order 2021 stock. This means that to date, via at least this one retailer, neither the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X next-generation consoles can be pre-ordered. Stock shortages are similar at other Australian retailers as well.

Stay tuned for more news on availability as it comes to light.

The Digital-Only Xbox Series S will be available for $499 AUD, while the standard, more powerful Xbox Series X console will be available for $749 AUD. Regardless of the variant you choose, launch stock will be available two-days ahead of their competition on 10 November 2020.
