13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Delayed Two Weeks, English Voice Overs Included in Day One Patch

It has been several years since ATLUS West first confirmed plans release Vanillaware’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim internationally on the PlayStation 4. And by several years, they shared an early teaser trailer in mid-2017. Last month our wait was confirmed to be almost over, Atlus West confirming a planned release date of 8 September 2020. Unfortunately, the release has been pushed back a fortnight until 22 September 2020, but for potentially a good reason.

The announcement also confirmed that the English voiceover patch, originally planned to be available at an unspecified date post-launch, will instead be available as a Day 1 Patch. Players will now not have to replay 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim to enjoy the time-travelling adventure with an English voice cast.

While we don’t see brand new 2D side-scrolling action games from major publishers much anymore, Vanillaware has continued to play to their strength in this genre over the years. Hopefully 13 Sentinels, especially with a change in setting, will be yet another worthwhile project from the development team.
