Bandai Namco Announce Plans to Publish Guilty Gear -Strive- in PAL Regions

Ahead of the fighting game’s closed beta test commencing in only a couple of days time, Bandai Namco Entertainment and Arc System Works have announced they will be partnering up to bring Guilty Gear -Strive- to gamers in Europe, South East Asia (ex. South Korea and Japan) and Oceania in late-2020. This continues the partnership between both companies, with the pair collaborating on Dragon Ball FighterZ back in 2018.

Being released exclusively on the PlayStation 4, Guilty Gear -Strive- will serve as the latest instalment in ArcSys’s long-running Guilty Gear franchise. The development team are striving to “bring the franchise to the next level with new gameplay and updated design”.

The upcoming closed beta test will run for a period of four days from 16 April 2020 until 19 April 2020. It will cover both online match and VS Com gameplay, and provide access to seven characters out of the game’s expectedly broad roster.

We are pleased to announce that BANDAI NAMCO ENTERTAINMENT will be distributing the latest title in the Guilty Gear series, Guilty Gear -Strive-. I am surprised that the chit-chat I have exchanged with Harada-san a few years ago has come to fruition. We are working hard with BANDAI NAMCO ENTERTAINMENT to get people in Europe and Asia to play Guilty Gear more than ever before. Please look forward to it!

I have always been thinking that it would be great to partner with ARC SYSTEM WORKS, and I’m happy we were able to push this forward. We wish to further enhance and promote the fighting game community together. The continued collaboration between the two means we can bring more exciting games to every dojo around the world!
