Like many fighting video games released over the last couple of years, the 2018 2D fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ is being kept alive years post-launch through the form of professional tournaments (world tour), game patches and character pass packs. Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and acclaimed developer Arc System Works have confirmed their work on the latter shall continue, announcing the impending release of their third FighterZ Pass.
The pass will consist of five characters, to be available over the coming months. First off the rank is Kefla, the “strongest female Saiyan”. They will be available for single-character purchase from 28 February 2020, with FighterZ Pass 3 owners to gain access from 26 February 2020. The second character to be released shortly is Goku (Ultra Instinct). The remaining three characters have yet to be confirmed.
Bandai Namco Entertainment used this announcement also to confirm that their world tour will continue into a third season, with more information to be unveiled at a later date.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for purchase on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC (via Steam) gaming platforms.
