No sooner had the festive trees been taken down and snowmen melted across Eorzea, that brand new festive decorations begin to adorn the major cities and housing districts. As Final Fantasy XIV‘s equivalent to a New Year’s celebration, Square Enix have commenced their annual Heavensturn festivities – this year subtitled A Tale of Mochi and Rice.

Running for a fortnight until 14 January 2020 at 14.59 GMT, this festival consists of a short quest line and a FATE which is accessible to virtually any players with its low level requirement. Following past years, the main loot on offer during Heavensturn 2020 are the ‘Crimson Nezumi Kabuto’ and ‘Cobalt Nezumi Kabuto’ helms. Pictured above, these helms are themed around the 2020 Chinese Zodiac animal, the Rat.

Other items are also available for purchase after completing the event quest – which will take approximately 5-10 minutes. You can commence the quest, “Mochi to Be Desired” at Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks. Players will need to be at least Level 15 in one class before beginning.
