For a limited time from today until January 30th, 2K Games will be holding a “Farming Frenzy” mini-event in their first-person action/shooter game Borderlands 3. This event will be targetted at those hoping to snag a specific legendary drop, or even legendary loot more generally.

During this two week period, rare enemies will be guaranteed to appear in-game with the Legendary gear drop-rate higher when you defeat them. Furthermore, the endgame raid Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite will be tweaked and made more manageable for small squads and solo players. This means that provided you are geared up well enough, the bosses and their associated loot could potentially be yours for the taking.

To confirm, 2K Games provided the following specifics of this event:

1/ Rare spawns are guaranteed to appear;

2/ All enemies with dedicated loot pools (e.g. rare spawns, named bosses, etc.) have a higher chance of dropping Legendary gear from their dedicated loot pool;

3/ Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite’s difficulty will now scale to match the size of the player party rather than defaulting to four-player difficulty (available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One only).
