First released on the PlayStation 3 in 2011 as Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten and later on the PlayStation Vita as Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited, the fourth numbered instalment in Nippon Ichi Software’s Disgaea franchise was arguably their best. With mechanics that greatly improved upon what past titles had delivered, a significant change in the anime visual style and a cast of memorable personalities – it was the instalment in the series I happily spent hundreds of hours grinding my way up to Level 9,999 on. Set to be the definitive edition for current generation consoles, Nippon Ichi Software America have released Disgaea 4 Complete+ onto the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe (Aussies have to wait until 5 November 2019)
Disgaea 4 Complete+ includes the full original game, in addition to all previously paid downloadable content including 30 additional unlockable characters, extra story campaigns and more. This is in addition to the aesthetic improvements one would expect when bringing the game to current generation consoles. There will be new online social features as well, due to be released sometime after launch.

The Story of Disgaea 4
When the Corrupternment threatens to disrupt the way of life in Hades, Valvatorez finds himself at the helm of a fiery revolution. The former tyrant will need to call upon new allies, recruit a formidable army, and learn a thing or two about political unrest if he hopes to take down the corrupt regime and bring salvation to all Prinny-kind!
