Multiplayer ‘Comrades’ Expansion Released for Final Fantasy XV

On the eve of Final Fantasy XV‘s one year anniversary, video game developers Square Enix have confirmed that their multiplayer expansion known as Comrades is now available for season pass holders or those who fork out $29.95 AUD for the standalone DLC.

Comrades chronologically takes place following the events of Chapter 13 in Noctis’ storyline. It will place you in the shoes of a custom character, a survivor as the Kingsglaive, as they fight to restore the Light to the world during Noctis’ absence.

Either by themselves or with up to three others online, Comrades sets out to have players “partake in epic quests in a world engulfed by darkness”. As a member of Kingsglaive, your character will be able to equip royal sigils that grant special powers from the rules of old – and with others – using sigil combinations to form a balanced team against formidable foes and beasts.

While Comrades is an online multiplayer game, it also features a single-player campaign. The expansion itself requires a PlayStation Plus (PlayStation 4) or Xbox Live Gold (Xbox One) membership to access, and will require internet access.
