NIS America Partner With Nihon Falcom to Release Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA 1

During their annual press conference earlier today, western video game publisher Nippon Ichi Software America confirmed they have formed a partnership with Nihon Falcom. This will see them bring the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Windows PC action RPG Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA to audiences outside of Japan later this year.

Ys has been a series closely associated with Nihon Falcom for many years, since the launch of Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished back in 1987. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA will be the first game released in the franchise since Ys: Memories of Celceta back in 2012.

While an exact release date has not yet been confirmed, NIS America have confirmed a “Fall 2017” launch window. The publisher have confirmed that they will be commissioning an English dub for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA, and will be complementing the dual-audio support with both English and French subtitles.
