Following the game’s initial release on the Xbox One and Windows PC earlier this year (Review), THQ Nordic last month confirmed that Remedy Entertainment’s story-oriented game Quantum Break would receive a new PC retail and Steam release this month. The Steam release would be a standard edition, while the retail release would be available for $39.99 USD and known as the ‘Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition‘. The special edition would include:
- “Premium” Packaging
- 5 Game Discs (A one-time Steam key validation is still required)
- Making of Blu-ray
- Making of Book
- 1x Soundtrack CD
- 2x A3 Poster (One double-sided print)
- Quickstart Guide
These two versions of Quantum Break were set to launch simultaneously on September 14th 2016. However, THQ Nordic have recently announced that “additional time required for mastering and manufacturing” the Collector’s Edition has seen them push the date back until September 29th 2016. Although this delay does only affect the retail release, THQ Nordic have decided to hold back the digital Steam release as well.
