Western video game publisher En Masse Entertainment may have recently kicked off their relaunch of AVA, however the TERA Online community does not miss out in return. The company last week launched their latest update for the action combat MMORPG – known as ‘The Guilded Age’.
This update focuses on adding new features for guilds, including a progression system complete with a full array of guild-wide skills to unlock. Players can put their guild skills to use in a brand new weekly event which pits guilds against one another in battle for control over the capital city of Velika. In preparation for this event, known as Civil Unrest: Velika, guilds can construct their own guild tower within a designated zone surrounding the city. During the event, which occurs weekly on Saturdays at 7PM PT, guilds will face-off in a battle, aiming to destroy the towers of other guilds while protecting their own. The guild with the last tower standing when time runs out is deemed the victor. The prize? A jackpot of taxes collected from all merchant NPC transactions over the previous weeks.
Looking forwards the future, TERA Online is set to soon begin receiving class overhauls starting this year. This will begin later this year with the release of ‘Spellbound’, which provides updates to the Sorcerer class. Further updates are planned throughout 2017.

While the new guild features included in The Guilded Age update will enhance the way that players play together in the MMORPG world of TERA, we are constantly looking to the future. We’re also excited to tease today a long-awaited update to one of TERA’s original classes, the sorcerer. As part of the upcoming “Spellbound” update, the sorcerer will receive both a visual and mechanical update. This class revamp represents the first in a series of refreshes coming to the original TERA classes.
