Nintendo Australia to Offer New ‘Nintendo 2DS’ + ‘Mario Kart 7’ Bundle from Thursday

-

Nintendo 2DS White + RedAlthough more serious gamers will likely want to check out either the Nintendo 3DS or New Nintendo 3DS consoles, which come with autostereoscopic 3D, flip functionality and enhanced specs (Especially terms of the New Nintendo 3DS) – the Nintendo 2DS is a decent and affordable option for younger gamers.

In addition to making five additional games part of their Nintendo Selects range, Nintendo Australia have also confirmed they will be offering a brand new Nintendo 2DS bundle, available as of Thursday May 26th 2016. The new bundle will be priced with an SRP of $149.95 AUD, and will come with a Nintendo 2DS console plus a digital (Either pre-installed or download code) copy of Mario Kart 7.

Going from new physical copies of both the console ($129.00) and game ($69.95) listed on EB Games Australia as of writing, you would get $198.95 of value for the $149.95 price. As usual, I would recommend shopping around yourself (and looking at both the Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS) before determining if a bundle is worth the money or not.

Although it has a different name and loses some functionality, the Nintendo 2DS is able to play nearly the entire library of Nintendo 3DS games in 2D, in addition to most Nintendo DS games.
