Given Star Citizen is still within its Alpha phase and still many months if not years from completion, committing funds to its continued crowd-funding campaign still comes with some faith in the development team being able to deliver the final product. While some backers might have pledged on the back on Chris Roberts’ name, a desire to back what could be one of the most ambitious games of all time or some other reason, others might require a sample of whats currently available before putting money down.
While Cloud Imperium Games will not be attending PAX East this year, they are celebrating the event by enabling Free Fly access to all from now until April 25 2016. Anyone with a Star Citizen account (Whether or not they have backed) will be able to access three core alpha modules and be able to fly three ships: the Aurora LN, the F7C Hornet and the Mustang Delta. The three modules players will have access to during this period includes the Mini-PU module (Crusader), the Arena Commander dogfighting module and ArcCorp which is a preview of the game’s social module.
All you need to do to access this Free Fly period is to register an account, and download the Star Citizen client.
Plan to sign up for Star Citizen and take your first steps in the Verse? Enlist using the referral code STAR-JCS6-3943 and you will earn yourself an extra 5,000 UEC to spend in the Voyager Direct store. As you might already expect with a referral system, I receive a few perks as well.
