First there was the underworld with dungeons and those pesky heroes, then evil extended its bony fingers to ‘Evilfy’ the green and pleasant overworld (all those poor unicorns…).
Now, a new dawn of terror approaches as the Dungeon Lord unleashes its minions to do battle on console.
Ensuring that those in Australia and New Zealand won’t miss out on an opportunity to purchase Dungeons 2 locally on the PlayStation 4, Kalypso Media Group and Mindscape Asia Pacific have announced they will be collaborating to bring the game to market this May.
Claiming to feature a “unique mix” of classic dungeon simulation and real-time strategy gameplay, Dungeons 2 challenges players to assume the role of The Dungeon Lord, craft a network of terrifying dungeons w/ deadly monsters from all corners of the underworld, and use its resources to fuel a campaign against the forces of humans and the overworld. The story mode campaign is set to feature even more of the dark humour than its predecessor, and claims to be peppered with references to various fantasy books, movies and TV shows.
The PlayStation 4 edition of Dungeons 2 is set to come with additional exclusive content including “Pixieville”, “Morningwood”, “A Chance of Dragons”, “A Song of Sand and Fire” and “A Clash of Pumpkins”. This includes 11 new maps, brand new opponents and a purported 30 hours of additional game time.
