Attention class. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is about to get steamy!
Through what has been described as the “Official community hub for Spike Chunsoft”, the first post on new English social media channels for the company have teased the possibility of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc being released on the PC via Steam. While the Twitter feed specifically is brand new, they are followed by the company’s Japanese feed (@spikechunsoft), providing authenticity to it.
If assumptions are correct, this will be the first time that a core Danganronpa video game has been released on a platform other than a portable PlayStation console internationally.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is the English title for the first very first Danganronpa murder-mystery video game / visual novel, also known as Dangan Ronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei in Japan. When released internationally on the PlayStation Vita, it was Nippon Ichi Software America and not Spike Chunsoft who published the title. It is currently unknown if NIS America also has a role in this release.
Overall, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc proved to be a very enjoyable title, and one of the major highlight in NIS America’s 2014 release calendar. You can read my full review of the title HERE.
