Rise of the Tomb Raider Launches on PC

-

After a period of Xbox console exclusivity, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released Rise of the Tomb Raider onto the PC. This game can now be picked up via either the Steam digital distribution store or The Windows Store.

The PC port of Rise of the Tomb Raider has been built by Nixxes Software, and will deliver a familiar gameplay experience albeit with some new visual improvements. These improvements include 4K resolution support, advanced graphics, and new Pure Hair technology.  Other improvements include HBAO+ which reduces artifacts and produces richer and more detailed ambient lighting. Objects and buildings have also been enhanced at farther distances thanks to the increased geometry processing power in PC. The environments come are also set to come alive with new weather effects and dynamic foliage which reacts to Lara’s movements. As with most PC games however, just how well you can handle these visuals will depend on your computer specs.

After uncovering an ancient mystery, Lara must explore the most treacherous and remote regions of Siberia to find the secret of immortality before a ruthless organization known as Trinity beats her to it. Faced with the mysterious Remnant leader Jacob, the constant threats of Trinity’s leader Konstantin, and driven by her Father’s unfinished legacy, Lara must become the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.

Rise of the Tomb Raider can now be downloaded digitally via Steam, the Windows Store, Amazon, the Square Enix e-store and other select retailers for $59.99.
