Having sold 28 million units over its 20 year history in the video game market, the Rayman line of video games have proven to be a successful and highly entertaining series overall. It was one of the platformer series I grew up playing alongside the likes of Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros, with Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc in particular standing out to me even today. To mark this anniversary, I would have loved Ubisoft to announce a brand new, major project – but instead this year has seen them release a new mobile game following the likes of Rayman Jungle Run and Rayman Fiesta Run.
Developed by the team at Ubisoft Montpellier, Rayman Adventures is now available for purchase on both the iOS App Store and Android Google Play stores. This follows an earlier release on the Apple TV.
In Rayman Adventures, the limbless hero and his Viking companion Barbara, take off on a legendary adventure to breathe new life into the Sacred Tree. From haunted medieval castles to the Enchanted Forest, players will embark on a quest with Rayman to travel through action-packed worlds in order to rescue the Incrediballs and unleash their powers. Once out of their eggs, the quirky creatures will team up with the player and help them explore, fight and race through the levels.
Currently there are more than 150 levels present in Rayman Adventures, with more set to be released via “regular updates”.
