With work continuing on the new One Piece video game, One Piece: Burning Blood, Bandai Namco have shared new information and screenshots on the upcoming fighting game.
First of all, new character artwork has been shared for Aokii, Drake, Francky and Zoro, while new screenshots highlight some of the attacks players will be able to take advantage of during battle.
One Piece: Burning Blood will allow players to create a team of three characters, and swap them in and out of battle in order to gain a tactical advantage. Certain characters can use special Logia Moves for unique abilities: allowing players to burn through their enemies or even move faster than lightning. Logia Fruits also allow the use of Logia Guard: where some characters are untouchable by physical attacks for limited amount of time. However, the powerful Haki blow is a solid counter to this guard. Finally, as in the original Manga, Devil Fruits will be the source of unique massive Special Attacks and Reinforced Special Attacks!
Currently in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PlayStation Vita gaming platforms – One Piece: Burning Blood is set for release in 2016.
