Following the fighting game’s release in North America by Aksys Games a few months ago, PQUBE have confirmed that their PAL Region release of Blazblue: Chronophantasma Extend is set to launch this Friday (October 23rd 2015). This release will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Xbox One, meaning there is no console support discrepancies between North American and PAL regions.
Marking the first release of the Blazblue series on the newest generation of video game consoles, Blazblue: Chronophantasma Extend features a 30+ hour visual novel Story mode which features new story chapters and recap segments. This potentially makes this instalment a decent starting point for newcomers who don’t wish to work their way through more than half a decade worth of games.
The story mode is complemented by a wealth of other single player modes including ‘Arcade Mode’, ‘Score Attack’, ‘Abyss Mode’, ‘Unlimited Mars’ and ‘Highlander Attack’; providing opportunities to try out all 28 playable characters. As with any fighting game nowadays, there is also an online mode to battle against other players, with cross-platform play supported between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions.
