Although I wouldn’t say this was as prevalent in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, many earlier Final Fantasy video games such as Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 offered a number of smaller games on the side to help pass the time between fights and large batches of storyline. With Final Fantasy XV, two of the side-games on offer are Chocobo Racing and Fishing.
During Tokyo Game Show 2015, Square Enix showcased new footage of both the Chocobo Racing and Fishing games, which can be found above. While I can see fishing as being something I would play once and forget about, the chocobo racing actually looks pretty fun to play.
Currently in development by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Final Fantasy XV is slated for release in 2016.
