New Features Announced for the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta Edition

-

With their beta test for Call of Duty: Black Ops III currently underway on the PlayStation 4 and soon to be available for download on both Xbox One and PC platforms, Activision and Treyarch have recently confirmed that the beta will be receiving new additions.

The first addition in this update is an increase in the level cap, with players now able to rise to Level 34 (Major). This will unlock access to new weapons, equipment, perks and scorestreaks. Another new features is the addition of a new map into the rotation titled ‘Stronghold’. Designed to be a high-tech Swiss chateau in the frozen Alps, this level features an asymmetical design with a mixture of exposed sight-lines and close quarters.

For those who manage to reach the new Level Cap, they will be able to access a new specialist: Reaper. A bio on this specialist, provided by Activision, can be found below:

Real Name: Experimental War Robot (EWR)
Bio: Started as an expensive military R&D project to supplement Special Operations soldiers in the field, the EWR was a cutting-edge prototype combat robot, the most advanced in the world at the time. Budget overruns and embarrassing political incidents left the project all but a resource for scrap metal, except for the one prototype that remained.
Weapon: Scythe – Robotic arm that transforms into a high power Mini-Gun.
Ability: Psychosis – Infiltrate enemy DNI systems to simulate three decoy clones.

The final addition is the game’s Uplink mode. In Uplink, players face off in an effort to take control of a downed satellite.
