With Disgaea 5 to be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4, we have likely seen the end of the Makai Senki Disgaea’s run on PlayStation 3 consoles. Highlighting the many years spent developing and localising on the console, Nippon Ichi Software America have today confirmed the release of their “The Disgaea Triple Play Collection‘.
While two of the three games have since received enhanced ports on the PlayStation Vita, this collection contains original editions of Disgaea 3: Absense of Justice, Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten and Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness. All three are available on the one disc.
Gamers in supported regions are now able to purchase the game for £39.99/39.99 EUR via select retail outlets. This edition is very similar to previous PS3 collections released for both the Atelier (Alchemists of Arland) trilogy and the first three Hyperdimension Neptunia video games – both of which are also exclusive to PAL regions.
The publisher has confirmed that the Disgaea Triple Play Collection will be available in North America as well. This collection will be available for purchase starting September 15 2015, less than one month before Disgaea 5 is launched.
