Taking a course of action which doesn’t seem to be used for console video games published by major developers/publishers nowadays, Koei Tecmo Europe have announced that a free downloadable demo of Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess will be available starting July 6 2015. This is being released a couple of weeks shy of the trap action game’s July 17 2015 release.
Downloadable via the PlayStation Store on the PlayStation 4, this demo will feature a snippet of the game’s content, which they claim is targeted towards both newcomers and veterans of the Deception franchise. This will include the first two chapters of Story Mode (With a tutorial included) and 12 quests from the new “Quest Mode”. Each quest can be saved, downloaded and replayed from the Kagero Studio. Hoping to showcase some of the late-game content, they are also unlocking some features early, including the ability to create 7-trap-long combo sequences and some of Velguirie’s powers.
Given that the demo content is being considerably tweaked to offer later-game content, no save data from the Demo will be transferable to the official release of Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess.
