With Naughty Dog’s most recent game, The Last of Us, having already received a PlayStation 4 HD port, it should come as little surprise that their earlier games might also be receiving a similar treatment. Sony Computer Entertainment have confirmed that work is ongoing for the new Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, a PlayStation 4 exclusive set which includes the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. These new ports are being developed by Bluepoint Games in collaboration with Naughty Dog.
Previously exclusive to the PlayStation 3, all three games will be playable in 1080p and 60fps, with better lighting, textures and models. They will also be looking at implementing a range of unspecified improvements and additions across all three games. Other features include new trophies created exclusively for the PS4 and Photo Mode.
By pre-ordering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, fans will also nab themselves single player skins of iconic Drake outfits, as well as additional weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. Pre-ordering through the digital PlayStation Store will also nab you an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme. In addition, buying this collection will also grant players exclusive access to the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End when its available.
So when you can pick this up from stores or the PlayStation Store? Unless it changes in the coming months, Sony Computer Entertainment intends to have this game on store shelves starting October 7 2015.
