En Masse Entertainment have announced that their Free-to-Play (F2P) online game TERA Online is now available to download through the Steam digital distribution service. Although available to download at no charge, this Steam launch also provides the option to purchase four additional “downloadable content” packs priced between $9.99 USD and $59.99 USD. Each pack comes with a handful of pernament and timed content, although at this point in time, only offers a fraction of what is on offer through the Valkyon Outfitters.

We’re celebrating TERA’s anniversary this month and over the past 3 years, we’ve received many requests for TERA to be playable on Steam. TERA is more accessible than ever—and we’re so excited to see the Steam community experience TERA’s action combat, with the option of using either a controller or the standard keyboard-and-mouse.
This announcement coincides with a new update to TERA which introduces the new Gunner Class. . Although they are not the only ranged class available to players (With alternatives including the light-armored Archers and magically-inclined Sorcerers), the archer class has been confirmed as a “fast-moving, high-DPS, ranged class who never stop to ask questions because they’re too busy shooting first”. These characters will have access to new weapons and run-and-gun tactics. Do note that this class, like the Reaper, is limited to select classes.
To celebrate the launch of the new gunner class, players who log-in from now until Ma 26th will receive the “Beep Boop Bot” bundle for free—which includes the EX-TRM mount, a free character slot, and a selection of consumable items.
