NIS America Share First Trailer for Lost Dimension

Doubling as the game’s opening sequence, Nippon Ichi Software America have shared their first official trailer for Lost Dimension – which they will be publishing in Europe later this year on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita consoles (ATLUS USA will be handling the game in North America). This is a new JRPG developed by the team at Lancarse,

To subdue the threat The End poses to the entire planet, several countries create a special forces group called SEALED, which is comprised of eleven psychics with superhuman abilities. Each soldier has their own talents and skillsets to use in combat, which can be expanded after gaining enough experience in the field. Bonds of friendship will form amongst the members of SEALED, but be mindful of which allies to keep close, as The End mandates the player must begin eliminating teammates.  Make sure to accuse the right teammate of being a traitor though – once the final battle with The End begins any remaining traitors will fight the main character alongside him.

This “Traitor” system is designed to keep the game spoiler free, as each New Game will completely randomize who are friends and who are traitors. This is completely opposite to a game like Danganronpa which retains the exact same victims and culprits with each playthrough. But with each character having each their own unique abilities, from a girl who controls molecular behavior to burn/freeze anything in her path to a guy who can steal everyone else’s powers, it means that the final boss battle will also be different each time around.

Lost Dimension is set for release on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (With PS TV support) later this year.
