Season Pass and Premium Edition Confirmed for Batman: Arkham Knight

-

BAK - PREMIUM EDITION

With most “AAA” video games, there tends to be two things one can usually expect to see: 1) a flashy Premium/Limited Edition and 2) some form of Season Pass offering paid DLC at a slightly reduced price. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Entertainment and developer Rocksteady Studios have simultaneously confirmed both for the upcoming action adventure game – Batman: Arkham Knight.

Priced at $59.95, the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass sets out to deliver next content for six months post-launch. While details are currently slim on the exact contents, these will include: new story missions, additional super-villains whom will invade Gotham City, Batmobile Skins, Advanced Challenge Maps, Alternate Character Skins and new drivable race tracks. As the exact contents have yet to be detailed, it is unknown how great a discount $59.95 is.

Unless there is an announcement to be made later on, the Premium Edition set seems to be less flashy than one would expect (Especially compared to earlier Batman video games). Priced at $159.90 for consoles and $139.90 for PC, this edition is set to include the core game on your choice of console and the season pass.

Based on the DC Comics’ Batman series, Batman: Arkham Knight is set to hit store shelves from June 24th 2015. Unlike past instalments, this game will only be available on current generation platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC.
