Sony Computer Entertainment Australia have today celebrated the official Australian and New Zealand launch of Bloodborne, a new action-adventure video game developed by From Software, also known for their work on both Demon’s Souls / Dark Souls franchises. The game is directed by Japanese video game director Hidetaka Miyazaki (Who has previously worked on Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II).
Bloodborne takes players on a journey to the 19th Century, where they take on the role of “The Hunter”, on a journey along the dingey alleys of the fictional city Yharnam. This bleak and shadowy city is amiss, with its citizens stricken by a plague which transforms them into hideous beasts. Players must equip themselves with the appropriate weapons (Including shotguns, saw blades and twin blades) to defend themselves from the many unexpected forms of danger and help restore peace in Yharnam.
Bloodborne is now available as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. With Sony Computer Entertainment serving as a worldwide publisher, it is quite likely that this will remain an exclusive title.
