Joining the number of seventh generation console games making a jump to current generation platforms, Capcom have announced that they will be releasing both DmC Devil May Cry as a Definitive Edition and Devil May Cry 4 as a special edition on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles from next year.

Developed by Ninja Theory, DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition will include the original action game, all previously released downloadable content, including the “Vergil’s Downfall” campaign as well as brand new modes and additional gameplay features. This edition will launch on March 17th 2015 via digital and retail channels.

New to DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition, players will be able to play as Dante’s twin brother himself in Vergil’s Bloody Palace Mode. For an extra depth of challenge, players will be able to try out the added Gods Must Die and Must Style Mode as well as Hardcore Mode, which has been designed to play more like the classic Devil May Cry series. DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition players will also receive new Dante and Vergil costumes inspired by classic Devil May Cry character designs. 1080p and 60fps have been locked in for both consoles.

More specifics on Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will be announced in the coming months, with plans for a Winter 2015 release.
