Aiming to give eager fans the chance to sample a tiny sliver of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, developer CD Projekt Red have today released the game’s opening cinematic. In this three minute video, players will watch as witchers Geralt of Rivia and his mentor Vesemir pursue Geralt’s long long love, the raven-black-haired sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg.
What may sound like an insignificant event on paper forshadows what occurs in the full game. Players will be left to lead Geralt of Rivia on an epic journey throughout a war-ravaged world, ultimately leading them to confront a threat more dangerous and darker than anything humanity as faced so far – the Wild Hunt.
Being published by various publishers around the world dependent on where you reside, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC from February 24th 2015.
