To me, the Assassin’s Creed experience has never been exclusively about the gameplay. Sure it is enjoyable climbing around the towers of 15th century Venice or taking sail as an 18th Century pirate, but this is only one element that has allowed each annual instalment in the series to stand out among the crowd each and every year. It is the culmination of descriptive storylines, believable designs and intuitive gameplay that combine into one immersible and intriguing gaming experience.
This is the purpose of Ubisoft’s latest “Experience” trailer for upcoming current gen game Assassin’s Creed Unity. In just shy of three minutes, Creative Director Alex Amancio leads players through the 7 unique districts of Paris (Each with a very different architectural style representing the class of civilian living in them), the array of side-quests available to players such as murder mysteries, co-op heist missions with randomized guard patterns / area layouts / loot and much more.
Assassin’s Creed Unity is set for release starting November 13th 2014 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
