With NIS America’s mystery visual novel Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair now out of the way, it is time for us to return to the more realistic murder mystery environments with Frogwares’ upcoming Sherlock Holmes investigation game, Crimes & Punishment. With half a month to go until the multiplatform game hits store shelves on October 2nd 2014 release date, Frogwares have shared a new trailer detailing their recreation of Victorian era London.
London and its suburbs are composed of varied and exotic locations, sprawling with culture and class at every turn. From moon-lit grimy alleys, to sun-kissed Chinese gardens, no matter how seemingly peaceful a scene may be, it is always open to the horrible thefts and murders that Holmes charges himself with investigating. Hot on the scent, you – along with Watson – will find yourself readying the motor-carriage to visit some of the most famous locations in and around London, such as Kew Gardens and the Roman city of St Albans. Where there is beauty there is murder, in this faithful recreation of the Victorian world.
Crime & Punishments is set to be released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox360, Xbox One and Windows PC platforms from October 2nd, 2014. Focus Home Interactive is serving as publisher for this game, with QVS handling distribution in Australia and New Zealand.
