Ubisoft’s UbiArt Framework has produced a small handful of beautiful side-scrolling games of variable genres, most recent of which has been the puzzle-adventure game Valiant Hearts: The Great War. While originally limiting itself to home video game consoles and the Windows PC, Ubisoft have confirmed that the game is in the process of being converted to iOS platforms, and will be available for purchase from September 4th, 2014 via the official App Store.
Aside from the inclusion of touch controls given the iOS lack a mainstream gamepad, Valiant Hearts on the iOS is largely unedited from the original console releases. Support will be given to all iOS platforms as well – allowing you to download and play the game on either iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch devices.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War is the story of crossed destinies and a broken love in a world torn apart. All of them will try to survive the horror of the trenches following their faithful canine companion. In Valiant Hearts, the lives of all these characters are inextricably drawn together over the course of the game. Friendship, love, sacrifice and tragedy befall each one as they help each other to retain their humanity against the horrors of war.
