While it may not be the first anniversary of Final Fantasy XIV’s launch (September 2010), Square Enix are about to hit the one year mark of their game-saving upgrade “A Realm Reborn” which changed the MMORPG from having little future in the market to a promising one. To celebrate this milestone, the company will be holding a plethora of events over the coming weeks. Details on some of them can be found below:

Free Login Campaign

Between today and September 1st 2014, players who have previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and whose service has been set as “inactive” during the period, will be able to re-join everyone else in Eorzea until the events end at no cost.

“The Rising” Event

From August 28th until September 9th, players can purechase various commemorative gives and items in-game, and will be rewarded with the “Huzzah” emote to mark the occasion.

Moonfire Faire

Running from now until September 9th, 2014. The heavens are ablaze with fireworks as Eorzea celebrates the Moonfire Faire! A host of events are planned for this year’s faire including various surprises and rewards. The Moonfire Faire gives players the opportunity to better acquaint themselves with the guild, and see what it truly means to be an adventurer.
