Hyrule Warriors to See Limited Edition Release, Featuring a Scarf

It is always interesting to see what the marketing team of a video game publisher can decide to include in limited edition collections for video games. While artbooks and figures are the norm and usually end up being of an acceptable quality (Although I still feel the piercing stare of the Agnes figure included in Nintendo’s PAL Collector’s Edition for Bravely Default), we occasionally see something different pop up that either wow’s or disappoints. Unfortunately from first impressions alone, Hyrule Warriors‘ fails to impress.

As a way of helping fans “keep up with the latest Hylian fashion trends”, the limited edition release for Hyrule Warriors will be bundled with a Hyrule Warriors scarf. “Paying tribute to the scarf Link wears in Hyrule Warriors, the blue and orange-coloured neckwear comes complete with the symbol of the Triforce boldly emblazoned across its front”. Honestly, given what I have personally seen of the game, I would more likely have forked out the extra money to acquire a high-quality figure of Link wearing the scarf over an actual scarf that I would most probably never wear. Still, depending on the price it might be a worthwhile acquisition for an extra $10.

Given the announcement has just been made and no stores (in Australia) have had their systems updated yet, the cost of this limited edition has yet to be confirmed.
