[E3 2014] Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call – Trailer

-

When Theatrhythm Final Fantasy was reviewed on The Otaku’s Study back in July 2012, it walked away with a B+ grade. While I had commended it for strong rhythm gameplay and some great designs to boot, it was the track list that let Theatrhythm down the most. With only a small snippet of the tracks available out of many fantastic songs produced for the series in its long 25-year history, many hits were missed and those that were included became repetitive quickly. Featuring 221 songs from main and side-games in the Final Fantasy franchise alike, I am personally hoping that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call will finally allow the game to truly shine while maintaining everything that made it an impressive rhythm game packed with nostalgia.

With E3 2014 next week, Square Enix have released a new trailer for the game which highlights several of the game’s new features, as well as cameo appearances from the over 60 chibified characters and monsters in the game.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is set for release in North America on September 16th, 2014. A PAL region release will almost certainly closely follow.
