After teasing the game yesterday, ATLUS USA have formally confirmed their release of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne for the PlayStation 3 as a PlayStation 2 Classic title. The game is also referred to as the third numbered installment in the main Shin Negami Tensei series, unlike most others which are Megami Tensei spin-offs.
Nocturne pits you as a self-titled character who finds himself turned into a demon after witnessing the “conception” of the world, with the real world destroyed and the few remaining humans trapped in an embryonic “Vortex World” filled with demons. Now you must navigate through the aftermath of the destruction, in a do-or-die journey to bring order to the chaos and stop the hordes of demons….. or perhaps do the exact opposite.
