Trials Frontier – One Week, 6 Million Downloads

While I am personally not that much of a fan for mobile games, preferring the comfort of a big screen and the power of a proper video game console, Ubisoft have today managed to reaffirm that the market for mobile gaming still remains big. The company recently launched Trials Frontier on iOS devices, the latest free-to-play instalment in their Red Lynx studios’ Trials franchise, and are reporting sizable downloads from the gaming community.

One week after its release, Ubisoft confirmed that the game was downloaded a total of more than six million times, and is currently the number one free app on the App Store in 75 countries. An impressive feat given what seems to be a recent boom in puzzle games on the platform.

Jean-Michel Detoc | Managing Director of Ubisoft Mobile

We are thrilled with the success Trials Frontier has had in its first week of launch. Trials Frontier has the most first week downloads of any Ubisoft mobile title to date, and the thousands of players reviews we received are amazingly positive, an achievement Redlynx and Ubisoft are proud to announce. In order to keep players engaged, we have a robust post-launch content plan including new bikes and multiplayer modes that will allow players to continue exploring and enjoying the world of Trials Frontier.

Trials Frontier still remains a free digital download via the iOS App Store.

Trials Frontier transports players to the distant future where they find themselves the newcomer in a run-down town desperate for a hero. Players practice their skills, learning how to race, flip and cruise through tracks as they earn new gear for their bikes and complete missions for the townsfolk in order to prepare for a face-off with the town villain, Butch. As players progress through the game they unlock new maps, tracks, bikes and fine-tune their racing skills.
