Japanese video game news site Famitsu is reporting that there will be new characters included in Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, to be published internationally under the simplified title Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. It has been uncovered that Rise Kujikawa will be upgraded from navigation character to playable character, the first time she will be directly playable in any game.
Currently there are still announcements to be made, with the possibility of Persona 3 character Ken Amada also making a playable appearance following a listing posted on Best Buy a couple of days ago which also hinted at the inclusion of Kujikawa.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is currently available in Arcades across Japan, with a Japanese PlayStation 3 release planned for later this year. An international release from ATLUS USA is also planned for North America and (hopefully) PAL regions in Fall 2014.
