While most renown for his role as one of “The Doctor” incarnations on popular BBC television program Doctor Who, David Tennant has had in his career built up an expansive repertoire of film, television, stage and narration roles. However he has never had a voice over role in the video game industry… until now.
Microsoft Studios and RARE have today announced that Tennant is entering the video game scene by providing his voice for the narration of upcoming Xbox One exclusive title Kinect Sports Rivals. His role will see him talk players through he process of creating their Champion – a stylized, digital version of themselves that will be their representative in every competition against their friends, rivals, and the world. Assumingly he will also have other voice over roles during tutorial components of the game as well.
Kinect Sports Rivals is the first “Kinect Sports” game for the Xbox One, and will be available for purchase in North America on April 8th, 2014 and within PAL regions including Australia and New Zealand on April 11th, 2014.
