North American Release of Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl to Come With Pre-Order Box Set

With their recent releases, ATLUS USA seem to have developed a taste for including small extra goodies in pre-order copies of their games. With pre-order bonuses for Dragon’s Crown now out on the market, the company have turned to what they have in store for Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl on the Nintendo 3DS.

The collection will include a 7-track music sampler CD which features an exclusive live version of the game’s opening theme, an exclusive rough sketch version of it, and other songs which have been arranged by series composer Yuzo Koshiro. It also includes a design book containing character art, comics and notes.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is the first non-numbered installment in the Etrian Odyssey franchise and comes with a few different features from its predecessors such as separated classic and story modes. The game is set for release in North America from the 1st October 2013 with a PAL region release to follow sometime in the future… although when and by who still remains a mystery.

  1. Absolutely have to pre-order now.

I mean, the legendary Yuzo Koshiro (Streets of Rage 2, every other game in the EO series) scores these. Now, I know for the first couple, he stuck to his classic FM Synth stuff so it didn’t sound as amazing as it could have. But for EOIV – the game where I jumped into the series (thank you 3DS eShop demo for showing me the light!) – the music got as big an upgrade as the visuals! I mean, c’mon! This battle theme alone is one of the best I’ve ever heard in an RPG! Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxKe4-xH4F8&list=PLBA23889F5C7B0777.

Though this one is supposed to be a remake of the first game of sorts, and I’m expecting the music to not be as good as EO4’s then, it’s still bound to be awesome. And Atlus doesn’t charge anything extra for these goodies? Just a pre-order? I literally have no reason NOT to do this. Congrats on one more pre-order for EO Untold, Atlus 🙂
