In only a few short weeks or perhaps a bit longer, we will find out if Square Enix’s attempts at bringing Final Fantasy XIV up to the standard it should have originally been has paid of. Having gone through a series of long (second) beta tests the pay-to-play online game is finally set to go live on the PC and (for the first time) Playstation 3 consoles from the 24th August 2013.
To mark the games impending release, Square Enix in Japan have released a shop front trailer for the game which may very well be appearing in select video game and entertainment stores across the country. However fortunately you don’t need to go to Japan to watch it, with the company sharing the entire 13 minute promotional video online.
The entire trailer, viewable above, focuses on many aspects of the game including the initial context behind the storyline, character creation / character races, the world of Eorzea and plenty of gameplay.
